Hello and Welcome to Episode 4 of the Shinybees Podcast: Close Encounters. A warm welcome to all new and returning listeners! This week is mostly about rhinos and cake. In the words of Aerosmith, “Just Push Play.”

Listen here

I’m back with lots of new ideas after a trip to Cape Town. There will be a lot more travel chatter about that trip in the upcoming episodes. We have a close encounter of the Rhinoceroidal kind to amuse you along with a few pictures of aeroplanes.

Having it large.

News (09:20)

This week the Wippin’ Piccadilly section is replaced by a quick news segment. This is to let you in on my evil plans for the podcast. The plan is to make some of the sections monthly, rather than every episode, to allow me to cram even more inane chatter and comedy in for your listening pleasure. As always, let me know what you think about my dastardly plot.

South Africa Section (15:45)

This week we are joined by Justus (pronounced ‘Justice’) who will walk us through his recipe for that most famous of South African dishes: Malva Pudding. Caution: Just listening to this section will probably cost you 5 Weight Watchers points. I will post a blog entry with all the recipe details during the week.

Wrap up (30:25)

As always, thanks to you all for listening, it is always a pleasure to have you with me. If you wish to get in touch, you can do so via Twitter, Ravelry, the blog or shinybeesinfo@gmail.com. Happy crafting!

  1. Hi, I think that all your faithful listeners can take as much “cram even more inane chatter and comedy in for your listening pleasure” as you can record and post. Bring it on! Your podcast is always a bright spot in my week / month.

    1. Hey Kathy,

Thanks for the vote of confidence in inane chatter! Hoping to have another episode posted this week, we have been having big problems here with electricity and internet!
