The 4th annual Knitting and Crochet Blog Week is coming up next month, between the 22nd and 28th April. This is run by Mimi of the Eskimimimakes Blog, and involves Knitting and Crochet bloggers taking part in a week-long series of blogs, one per day, on a specific theme. The themes for this year are due to be released tomorrow, so if the idea of doing a post a day is a bit daunting, you can write some in advance and schedule them to post automatically on the given day. This is also good if you are expecting to be away or busy during that week.

There is no official sign up as such, however you will need to tag your posts appropriately with this year’s tag. The reason for this is so that you can enter the tag into search engines and bring up other blogs which are taking part. This means you will have lots of new blogs to read and can see how other people have interpreted the same title. The full explanation of how it all works can be found on the Eskimimimakes blog.

I took part in last year’s Knitting and Crochet Blog week. I didn’t do every day, but one of the days led directly to me starting the Shinybees Podcast a couple of months later. So, you never know where it might lead!

If you want to check out my posts from last year, you can do so here:

Day 1: My Knitting or Crochet Hero.

Day 4: A Knitter For All Seasons?

Day 5: Something Different!

Day 6: Improving Your Skill Set.

  1. Will definitely keep an eye on this and see what I can do. My posts have been a little thin on the ground so maybe this will give me the kick start I need :o)

    1. It was quite good fun last year. Looking forward to reading your posts! You can post a link to your blog on the podcast group on Rav too if you like!

  2. I loved doing this last year! I am going to be away when it’s on this year. It’s a great idea to do them in advance though. I did that last year. Not sure I’ll manage it this year but I’ll really look forward to reading yours 🙂
